 Joanne Burns Millar
President
As the founder and driving force behind Pacific Destination Services, Joanne learned the essence of teamwork as an athlete with the Canadian National Netball Team. She brings a sharp comprehension of clients’ needs and a personal guarantee of excellence to every contract she signs, guiding a staff of high achievers who share her demand for excellence.
A UBC graduate with a wealth of destination management experience, Joanne founded Pacific Destination Services in 1998. Her goal was to create unique, memorable experiences of British Columbia for a highly discerning clientele. Under her leadership PDS has become the most reputable firm of its kind in the region.
 Terri Samson
VP, Operations
Terri joined PDS in 1998, bringing with her a flair for creativity and an indefatigable amount of energy. Formerly a ballet and tap dance instructor as well as a business management graduate, Terri is driven by a demand for excellence, a force that has helped propel the firm to success since its inception.
As VP of Operations, Terri unites her creative arts background and her business acumen. With 15 years experience in event and destination management, she works with a team of operations staff, focusing on seamless logistics.
A local Vancouverite, Terri is deeply committed to marketing BC as a premier destination for the international meeting and incentive travel industry.
 Amanda Dreger, CMP
Senior Operations Manager
With her experience in the strategic design of operational systems and logistics planning, Amanda brings a calm demeanour and a core of strong vendor relations that render her a passionate force in the program management team.
An honours commerce graduate of Guelph University, Amanda has worked for years in the destination management industry. Throughout the course of her career, she has continued to augment her skills by completing the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, becoming one of the finest accredited planners in Vancouver.
 Annika Ruberg
Director of Account Management
Born and raised in Sweden, Annika is a well-traveled team member who brings passion, international flair and outstanding service to the discerning clientele of PDS. With a diploma in Business and Tourism Management, Annika’s positive attitude and keen attention to detail are key assets in the company’s operations and sales departments.
Previously a nurse in Sweden and England, she cares passionately about her clients and their programs, and is consistently commended for her genuine concern for the success of the events and the satisfaction of their participants.
